The sweet song of the Rose-breasted Grosbeak is first heard in early May. It is long and warbling with a sweet, rich tone. "Like a Robin with voice lessons". When the males fly they show large white patches in their wings. The females look quite different. They are brown striped and look like a large sparrow. Listen
