Begin looking for tiny Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in May. There is little you can mistake them for. Put out red tubular flowers or a hummingbird feeder and watch them come to eat. The males do an exciting courtship flight where they fly down and back up in an arc, as if they were on a swing. (Common Birds CD: Track 15)
